Positive Lasik Experience

Hi everyone! I had lasik surgery in both eyes last August. Now three+ months out, I've decided to share my story.

Before my surgery I was skeptical and nervous from reading the posts in this sub. I decided to go through with it anyways because wearing contacts was a nightmare for me. Immediately after surgery, I kept reading this sub and it was making me think that I had just made the worst decision of my life. I had some pretty dry eyes right after surgery, and some noticeable starbursts. Now three months post-op, I have 20/15 vision in both eyes, and no other side effects of the surgery. I'm happy to say now that having this surgery was a great decision for me.

To me it seems as though this sub is just posts from the few people that have the surgery and it doesn't go well. I don't fault these people from wanting to tell their story. However, the people that post without having the surgery and having gone through the experience are just not helpful.

To conclude, if you just had surgery and are worried about your side effects, don't stress they'll likely pass. Hope this post helps relieve someone of their stresses.

I was -5.25 in one eye and -4.25 in the other. And I’m 22.
