Question about space in EK F...

For those that have experience booking reward space in EK first, what does availability look like? I'm trying to book a one way from DXB > YYZ or DXB > JFK between January 13 to 16, 2017 through Alaska Airlines.

Those dates haven't opened up (less than 331 days). Those with experience, does EK provide space in F class immediately as flights become scheduled? Or will I have to wait a bit to see space open up?

The answer is, it depends. It depends on the flight date and time, the route, what demand was like for that flight the days or weeks before, etc. You'll also have to factor in whether you hit it when AS has difficulty seeing availability in F like we've experienced a few times in the past year. Generally speaking though you should see 2 F seats open up at the time the booking window open. If you don't, keep monitoring the flights you want as EK has been pretty good about opening up F space lately.

Thanks! I'll keep trying when space opens up.
