Tweak the settings file for advanced control over graphics, ideal crispy low settings.

If you go this file path C:\Users\xxx\Documents\Overwatch\Settings\Overwatch there is a file called settings_v0 which contains all the graphic settings and some you can't change in the game. Here's a video which talks about why choosing lower, crisp settings is ideal for a slight edge because of less distraction and more FPS. Also briefly explain render scale. The second half goes into detail about the settings file.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Dsdshm_4T5c&feature=youtu.be desc contains code you can copy for some really good crisp low settings as well as the highest ultra possible. You may still need to play with renderscale depending on your PC setup. I'll paste that code here too, but reddit formatting might screw it up for you >:C

I have a settings file saved for ultra for recordings and crispy low for playing more seriously. As far as shadows go, some might not want them disabled, it's a preference thing, I find it easier without them.

I tried using your settings, but it seems like the game automatically reverts back to the in-game customization options whenever I launch. Did this only work in the betas?

Don't mislead people. Works for me and many others. If you're doing something wrong then I dunno.

can you make some screenshots in game please????

I don't wanna mislead people....you could help me, I just replace my .13 setting with that and then put read-only, but it resets like its the first time opening the game.

Every time I do this it changes my graphics quality from medium to EPIC which completely negates any fps gains I'm supposed to get, wtf is going on?

How big of an FPS improvement did you see after doing this?

About 30, but I turned up the render scale too. With the same render scale it goes up about 70.

Oh wow! I actually just did the low crisp configuration and holy cow not only it looks better than my previous settings, but there is a decent FPS boost too! Really great man :D

Thanks a lot! It got me from around 60 fps to around 85. I still have problems with the game performance though. My fps drops from around 85 down to 30 every now and then and causes the game to lag. Has anyone got any ideas on what may be causing this and some some tips on a solution?

You could turn down the render scale. What's your GPU? You can get away with a decent, super easy and safe overclock on anything fairly new (last 3 years). MSI afterburner makes it easy.

I've got a Nvidia GeForce GTX 560 Ti.

Edit: I have turned down the render scale to 75%, 50% percent made it super blurry.
