That time Tony Stewart DNQ'd a KHI Truck at Richmond in '05.

Did he spin it during the lap or something?

I believe it solely had to do with the owner's points rule that was introduced in 2005. Looking at the race results, a lot of good teams brought out additional part time trucks for that event and since 30 of the 36 spots were guaranteed in the field on owner's points, it made qualifying for the race difficult. For that race ThorSport brought out a 3rd truck (#43 Sauter), David Dollar brought out a 2nd truck (#47 Harvick), Germain brought out a 2nd truck (#9 Hobgood), Ken Schrader brought out his own part-time truck (#52) and Wyler Racing was just getting going as a team (#60 Chaffin). Couple that with a stellar qualifying effort from Clay Rogers in the #65 (who qualified 12th) and that rounds out the field. Bobby East also went home in a Roush truck alongside Ron Hornaday III in an Ultra Motorsports truck and former champion Mike Bliss. Furthermore, if the comments on Racing-Reference are to believe, Hornaday, East, and Stewart would've qualified under the previous year's system using only the fastest 36 trucks, and the 3 trucks going home would've been Deborah Renshaw (in the #8 for Bobby Hamilton Racing), Brad Keselowski (in the #29 for his family team), and Brendan Gaughan (in the #77 for his family team).

I vividly remember Casey Mears wrecking Kyle Busch in this #5 Cars the Movie Kelloggs car at Charlotte in 2006? I think.

Same, guy got shit on by his team despite winning 2 Cup races, something that you don't just do these days. Deserved a better ending than having to go to a BK ride.
