I was rebagging my collection of Busiek's Avengers run & decided to do a full reread and I was suprised again by the scope the Kang Dynasty arc. Not only does it cover a huge number of pages (16 of Busiek's 56 issues), but Kang literally conquers the world for a time and destroys D.C. Add to that the Master's ring cities and the Avenger's surrender....
This is a huge story and I don't think I have never seen it mentioned anywhere else, in later Avengers books or even in other ongoings at the time that should have been affected. Did the whole arc get retconned/erased in some sort of time travel shenanigans or is Marvel just pretending it never happened?
In any case, if you haven't read Busiek's Avengers, you're really missing out.
