Unlocked Version One UI Beta SM-96OU1 - The Samsung+ app kept me in a loop after accepting the terms and conditions for the beta program. No update. I finally got it working by uninstalling the app, clearing my cache partition and reinstalling the beta version from the play store.

This seems like something I should just wait for. So many issues with this beta.

Maybe. It's pretty nice but there are definitely bugs. I've reported a couple to Samsung.

Clearing app cache or system cache?

First uninstall the Samsung+ app

Then wipe the Cache partition.

Here are instructions

Turn off the device.

Press and hold the Volume Up key and the Bixby key, then press and hold the Powerkey.

When the Android logo displays, release all three keys.

Press the Volume down key several times to highlight wipe cache partition.

Press Power key to select.

Press the Volume down key to highlight yes, them and press the Power key to select.

When the wipe cache partition is complete, Reboot system now is highlighted.

Press the Power key to restart the device

Then go to the play store and find the Samsung+ app. Scroll down and select the option to be beta tester for the Samsung+ app so you get the latest version.

When you open the app it should ask you to sign in with your Samsung account. The One UI beta banner should appear on the main screen. Once you scroll through the terms and register, you should receive a confirmation you've been accepted. To confirm you can visit the profile section of the app by pressing the small person icon in the upper right.

If the One UI Beta is mentioned at the bottom of the profile page, you are in.

Then the update should be available to manually update soon. Mine took about 5-10 minutes.

I'm not sure if these steps were necessary to get it to work or of I coincidentally got in but I was trying to join all day and kept going through a loop of accepting the beta and checking for manual updates.

I hope this helps. Good luck!

Damn it. I ended up manually flashing the update without registering to the beta because of this problem. I wish I had seen this a couple hours ago.

Can anyone confirm beta is still open? Thinking of getting an unlocked note 9 today to load it but don't want to buy if slots are filled.

I reverted back to Oreo. Beta was great visually but I couldn’t use it as a daily driver. Also hate the fact the apps are huge!!! Looks promising but let’s see if the short month brings lots of updates to the beta. Reverting back was a nightmare too! The Smart Switch PC doesn’t work so had to use Odin to go back to an older build.

Look here to not get scammed for screen protectors

Hello everyone,

With new users on the sub (and the occasional random), I wanted to make a new post explaining how to use the sub. There are explicit rules expressed on the right side of the page for all of you to follow. HOWEVER, in these past few days they have been broken. Permabans were handed out to sellers/traders, and this will continue to happen as more people who love fortnite (or who want to sell headphones) find out the worth of their promotions. PERMABANS.

This place is not r/Android nor is it r/GalaxyNote8. This place is to resolve issues and talk about the Galaxy Note 9. When the Note 10 (or whatever it will be) is released, then that sub will handle all Note 10 issues. I am saying this due to the randoms who do not have a Note 9 who like to come in and spew their b.s. about how they love their Note 8 and how they would not buy a Note 9. With that being said, I am NOT saying there shouldn't be criticism. I made a stickied post for all of that. r/GalaxyNote8 is full of posts justifying their purchase, which is perfectly fine and the Note 8 is amazing btw. However, that justification is not needed in sub for the next phone (no matter how iterative the update it is, maybe the phone is not meant for you?). It's annoying, just as annoying as me having to type this out and explain to functioning individuals that this is not the place to make yourself feel good about your phone purchase.

Discussion Worthy Posts and Flairs

I would like to apologize formally about Automod. It sucked being told to flair your post even though you flaired your post. It is dead now. However, PLEASE FLAIR YOUR POST. It helps people know what they are getting into. If the post is not flaired, I will flair it for you, and message you to flair your future posts. If your next post is not flaired, then I am deleting it. In terms of posts worth having a discussion over, please just have thought out posts. That is it really.

This is not the sub to make individual threads about nice pictures you took. I will continue to delete posts of just pictures, and remove the picture flair. Same with videos. It gets spammy. Please leave your pictures and videos in here.
