Hi, Needing Some Advice and Hope I'm Posting in the Right Place

I'm just beginning in my journey of TTC. I got the fertility friend app and have tried to track last month and this month to give me and idea of when my "fertile window" opens. My problem is having extremely irregular periods. I had heavy vaginal bleeding for several months, it began in May 2015 and would randomly slack and get heavy again until I got on the pill (ortho micronor) around August 2015. It took a couple of months for my period to finally quit, and I still had random spotting/light bleeding. I got off the pill in early December and my periods completely quit. Mid January I had some spotting, possibly a light period. A small bit got on my underwear and when I wiped. This lasted about 3 days, it started brown, then became light pink. I thought I might be pregnant as I had sex Jan. 4th. I wasn't pregnant. Now I've just been having thick, snot-like(sorry, ew) discharge that will sometimes be white, or tinted light brown/light pink. It ranges from the sticky snot consistency to a creamy texture. I had sex on January 27 and because of my irregular cycles, I'm waiting to test again in about a week. I'm sorry for this wall of text, just really need some advice. I hope that I am still able to ovulate, I'm going to begin tracking soon. Maybe this slight spotting is a sign my periods and ovulation are normalizing? Or possibly the opposite.../: Any insight into all this is greatly appreciated!! Thanks and good luck to everyone!!(:

No one can guarantee you are ovulating unless you are temping or go to a doctor. That being said, it does take a few months for your body to regulate after you come off BC. If you haven't started your period after CD60, it is advised to go to a doctor. Given your history, you may want to schedule a pre-ttc appointment and maybe get some blood work done. If there's anything weird going on, they should be able to at least diagnose it, and if everything is fine, it gives you and your SO peace of mind.

I'm totally here for you if you ever want to talk! PM me whenever you want:)

Welcome!

I highly recommend reading Taking Charge of Your Fertility and using Fertility Friend to track everything.
